Hardening of the arteries is a common disorder that occurs when fat, cholesterol, and other substances build up inside the walls and arteries and form hard structures called plaques. This is often aggravated by inflammation of the arteries. Over time, this can block the arteries and cause a wide number of cardiovascular conditions. Coronary artery disease concerns the delicate arteries supply blood to the heart.

Recommended oils: Lemon, Lavender, Ginger, Tangerine, Thyme, Wintergreen

Circulation Blend: Lemon30%, Myrtle 25%, Rosemary 20%, Cypress 20%, Cinnamon 3%, Oregano2%.

Foot Massage Blend: Balsam Fir 20%, Frankincense 20%, Sandalwood20%, Spruce 20%, Juniper 30%.

Liver Blend:

Recipe #1: Lemon 25^, Grapefruit 25%, Rosemary 25%, Juniper 20%, Thyme 3%, Lemongrass2%

Recipe #2: Roman Chamomile 15%, Helichrysum5%, Frankincense 10%, Lavender 20%, Rosemary 20%, Clove 5%, Thyme 5%, Orange 15%, Juniper 5%.

Instruction:

  • Use the following oils in a diluted massage (3 to 4 drops per teaspoon of carrier oil) – lemon, tangerine, lavender, and the Circulation Blend. These oils can also be applied undiluted or blended with the foot massage blend for calming reflexology massage.
  • Ingest one or two drops of the following oils per quart of drinking water or in herbal tea – the Liver Blend, Tangerine, and Lemon.
  • Dr. Penoel recommends a blend of 25% Tangerine, 25% Lemon, and 50% carrier oil in capsule taken 2 to 3 time daily for 20 days. It can be started up again after 4 days of rest
  • Diffuse 5 to 10 drops of Lemon or Lavender,  for 5 minutes any time during the day for its calming restorative action.
