The best treatment for cold or flu is prevention. Because many essential oils have strong antimicrobial properties, they can be diffused to prevent the spread of airborne bacteria and viruses. Antiviral and antibacterial essential oils, blends, and supplements are very effective as preventive aids in avoiding colds as well as in helping the body’s defenses fight colds once an infection has started. Essential oils such as Eucalyptus Radiata and Ravintsara strengthen the respiratory system, open the pulmonary tract, and fight respiratory infection.

Ravintsara (Cinnamomum camphora) is referred to by the people of Madagascar as “the oil that heals.” It has antiviral and antibacterial properties.

This oil can be used for chest congestion, stuffiness, and tickly throats, due to its 1,8 Cineole content. It is an immunity stimulant that helps fight flu, colds, cough, bronchitis, sinusitis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Ravensara is very good for infections like mononucleosis, chicken pox, hepatitis, herpes, and shingles.

Its invigorating and cleansing properties make it a powerful essential oil to help you stay strong and healthy all season.

Eucalyptus Radiata (Eucalyptus Radiata) has been treasured in folk medicine A2011 study conducted at Heidelberg University found that Eucalyptus radiate has the second highest abundance of 1,8 cineole after Eucalyptus globulus. It has antibacterial, antiviral, expectorant, anti-inflammatory properties. This oil is used for respiratory/sinus infections.
