Lemons and lemon essential oil have been used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat a wide spectrum of health conditions for at least 1,000 years.

Citrus plants are the main sources of benefit-rich essential oils because of their many uses in food and medicine. One of the main benefits of using lemon oil in your cooking is that it has antioxidant properties. This means that it helps to protect your food from harmful elements and enhances the flavor at the same time. There’s nothing like the bright, citrus taste of lemon. Citrus oils like lemon add a sweet, refreshing flavor to drinks like tea, water, or smoothies and brighten up any baked goods recipe like scones, muffins, or cookies. Citrus oils also add flavor to yogurt or your favorite dips and salsa recipes.

Keep Lemon essential oil in the kitchen as your go-to when fresh lemons aren’t available. Add a few drops of Lemon oil to a broiled fish fillet or roasted chicken or add some zing to your favorite dessert by adding a few drops of Lemon oil.
